It not only counts with other services such as those in google, including e-mail, but also incorporates others such as yahoo questions, where other users can answer. Also, instead of using a minimalistic interface such as google does it has decided to use a sort of homepage where you can access to news, email and others. This in my opinion is an advantage against google.
